Born and raised in suburban Catholic circles in
Eastern Massachusetts, Mike inherited impractically high levels of emotion from
his Mom and an inhuman need for exactness from his Dad. Turned on to performing
by a family of singers in a Best Western motel in Durango, Colorado, Mike was
acting at six, majored in Drama at Tufts University, studied acting in conservatory
in London and wrote, directed and designed in the performance art community in
San Francisco. Learning film technique while editing commercials, Mike founded
his own independent production company, Diatrib e Productions. Through Diatribe
he has directed music videos, documentaries and three award-winning short films;
Soup, Baby Oil, and Emu. He is presently at work on various feature scripts and
is a freelance film editor in San Francisco.
